I have a confession: I take a ridiculous number of pictures of bridges. 😂
I collect places, photographs, and apparently bridges. Somewhere along the way, I started taking pictures of them everywhere we went. Looking back through years of photos, I may have a problem. LOL.
The Bridges That Make Me Look Up
Some bridges are impossible to drive across without looking up. The steel beams, the angles, the repeating patterns that seem to go on forever — I want to photograph all of it. Which is slightly inconvenient when we’re supposed to be getting somewhere.

The Bridges That Take Us Somewhere
For me, a bridge isn’t just a way to get from one side to the other. It’s part of the trip. Sometimes it’s the thing I remember most about a road, a town, or a completely unplanned detour.

Bridges From Years of Wandering
Digging through older pictures reminded me that this habit didn’t start yesterday. Some of these shots go back years, and each one is a little reminder of somewhere we went.

Across the Water, Across the World
Even on our travels farther from home, I apparently couldn’t resist stopping for a bridge photo. There is something about seeing an ordinary crossing in an extraordinary place.

The Little Bridges That Stay With Me
Not every bridge has to be enormous. Some are tucked into wooded roads, crossing streams or sitting in the middle of places I never expected to love. And some photos aren’t really about the bridge at all — they’re about who was with me when we crossed it.

And Then There Are the Bridges I Haven’t Crossed Yet
Do you have a favorite bridge? Maybe one you’ve crossed, one you’ve photographed, or even one you’ve always wanted to see?
I’d genuinely love to hear about it. Who knows? You might just give me another destination to add to my ever-growing list! ❤️
IMME (I M ME) ❤️
