Several years ago, I started a blog. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. So I took courses, and notes, and wrote bad blog posts. I joined communities and hoped I was headed in the right direction.

Then, life.

More babies, more commitments, more bills—just more. So I let the blog go. I didn’t forget about it; I just had way too many other things going on.

I’m in luck, though, you see, because while I was off living my life… a lot of folks in the PR industry kept me on their radar. I am still receiving multiple offers for book reviews, interviews, amazing hotels with itineraries, kids’ accessories, pet items, and so much other STUFF.

So, that was then.

This. This is now.

My life is so much more chaotic than it was. Five kids—YES, F.I.V.E. Currently ages 9, 8 (15-month split), 3, and a set of boy/girl twin 2-year-olds (12-month split).

Hectic… is an understatement.

In My Mom Era is going to be everything I deal with, everything my kids deal with, and everything my poor husband deals with because of all of us.

Some random roadside attraction two hours away from home? Sounds like a fun Saturday road trip!

Book sale five hours away? I wonder if there’s a hotel we could stay at while I browse.

Soccer Saturdays, dance Tuesdays, school, homework, books, travel, kids, chaos—all of it.

So, you know what you’re getting into now.

Don’t be shy!

Kelly

P.S. I wrote this… at dance, on a Tuesday night, while the littles terrorized my car.
Pic for proof!

Colton & I. Adaline in the back, climbing around. Tuesday dance nights.

Okay, You’re Here. Now What? ❤️

For the bigger story behind why I came back to writing at all, read Being Let Go From My Life’s Career and Starting Over at 39. Then, if you’d like to see just how quickly I escalated this little relaunch, I announced 365 days of posts approximately three days later. 😂 Welcome to the chaos.

[…] Well, the blog is still alive—and I’ve already managed to spend an evening fighting WordPress instead of actually writing. Which feels extremely on-brand. If you want the origin story for this whole experiment, start with Welcome to In My Mom Era. […]

Feel free to partake in the chaos that is my life! 5 kids, a giant TBR list, dreamer of vacations, researcher of anything remotely interesting. Sums it up in a nutshell. Did I mention chaos? Lots. Of. Chaos.
