Met this blue-eyed beauty out in Colorado, several years back at a rehab center for horses. ❤️

No matter where I go, I have a camera. Lately, it’s more likely my phone, which has an AMAZING camera, but I still love my Nikon! And with the way my world has changed in the past 6 months, the Nikon is coming back!

I love animals in general. My pets will always have a place in my heart; but the animal kingdom in general is just fascinating to me! Animals can be tough to take pictures of, because they won’t just POSE like a kid will if you go, “Say cheese!!”

So these aren’t perfect, but they’re mine.

Heading out into the world presents a smorgasbord of opportunities for nature and animals! I’m always grabbing for my camera!

Some animals practically demand your attention. Others are so small and quiet that you have to stop long enough to notice them. Fortunately, I have a camera and absolutely no ability to walk past something beautiful without taking its picture. 🤣❤️

Our Grace girl ❤️

Each animal has the capability to turn and run; so when they don’t? I let them be, and take their photo so that I can remember their splendor later. ❤️

Large or small, hairy or smooth. I enjoy them all.

Cute little donkey we met at the Wild Animal Safari in Strafford, MO.

Keep taking pictures of the things you love.

No one else has to enjoy them but you.

Half the fun of collecting places is collecting the moments inside them, too. That’s part of what I mean when I talk about collecting places. And sometimes the destination itself completely steals the show—like Giant’s Causeway, where I could’ve happily kept wandering with my camera all day.

Feel free to partake in the chaos that is my life! 5 kids, a giant TBR list, dreamer of vacations, researcher of anything remotely interesting. Sums it up in a nutshell. Did I mention chaos? Lots. Of. Chaos.
